APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (HighDesertDeals.com) — A familiar name in Apple Valley dining has reopened its doors under new ownership, offering a refreshed menu, updated ambiance, and a flavorful twist on classic American fare.
Town’s End Bar & Grill, located in the Village along Highway 18, officially reopened to the public on Friday, May 2, after a series of soft-opening events led by new owner Jose Perez. Perez, a well-known restaurateur in the High Desert, also owns Los Pollos Bros locations in Apple Valley, Hesperia, and Victorville.
A New Chapter for a Local Favorite
The revamped eatery keeps the rustic-industrial charm locals remember, with brick accents, custom lighting, and handcrafted metalwork nodding to its Old West roots. Now, it also boasts an updated menu that leans heavily into wood-fired cooking — think sizzling steaks, burgers, and hearty comfort foods served with elevated flair.
“We’re excited to bring Town’s End back to life,” Perez said. “We’ve already had great feedback from the community, and we’re looking forward to building on that.”
What’s on the Menu?
During soft openings for friends, family, and local leaders — including representatives from Apple Valley Unified, the Fire Protection District, and Coldwell Banker Commercial — guests were treated to an early look at the diverse menu.
Highlights include:
- Wood-fired filet mignon, seasoned and grilled to perfection
- The Townsend Burger – a house specialty stacked with pork belly and melty cheese
- Maple bacon brussel sprouts that taste “like candy”
- Crispy fries cooked in beef tallow for rich, savory flavor
- Starters like fried pickles with “Boom Boom Sauce”
The drink menu features an array of whiskey, vodka, and signature mixed cocktails served from the bar, with a dessert menu that includes churro dulce de leche cake, apple cobbler, cereal cake, and more.
Overcoming Industry Challenges
Perez acknowledged that delays and challenges are common when opening or revamping a restaurant — but said the team’s focus has always been on creating a quality dining experience.
“With any restaurant, there are always hurdles. But we’ve taken it in stride and kept moving forward,” he said. “Our goal is to listen to our customers, take feedback, and keep improving.”
The new Town’s End currently has 65 employees and plans to bring back live music, including some of the same bands that once played at the venue before its February 2025 closure under former owner Chet Hitt.
